Panton Chair was designed by Danish designer Verner Panton (1926 – 1998) for Vitra in the late 1950’s. After many prototypes and intense research the sculptural chair went into production in 1967. It was manufactured in an expensive process using rigid expanded plastic, which was given a high gloss lacquer finish.

In 1999 technological advances, both in material and manufacturing, made it possible to produce an affordable yet sturdy Panton Chair, just as Verner Panton had envisioned. The chair’s slim elegant and comfortable form is well suited for dining- as well as meeting- and conference-rooms.

May be used both in-door and out-door environments.
