Link Lamp, by American designer Peter Stathis, 2008, is designed with focus on function and sustainability. The lamp body is made of stamped and machined aluminum, supported by a sturdy die-cast zinc base. Link Lamp is a high performance lamp with an elegant form, achieved by using efficient LED technology in the rim of the adjustable shade. It uses only 7.5 watts of energy, which is 97% less than comparable incandescent task lamps, and 40% less than CFLs! LED provides an operational life of 20000 hours equal to minimum 10 – 15 years in daily use. The lamp is constructed with a small number of recyclable components, resulting in a low-waste manufacturing process.
