C1 Chair was designed by Danish designer Verner Panton (1926 -1998) in 1959, but not produced until 2009. The design initially grew from his Cone Chair and Heart Cone Chair. C1 Chair was the first rounded shell-formed chair designed with a swivel base mechanism, an innovative design in 1959, and today still relevant for our both home and office environments. The form of the chair hugs the body while allowing the arms to rest comfortably making it a good easy chair, which is also visually pleasing.
