Arne Jacobsen Flatware, designed by Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen (1902 – 1971), 1957, was designed as a natural extension of the human hand in slender elegant lines. In the 1950’s Arne Jacobsen designed SAS Hotel Royal in Copenhagen, not only did he design the building but everything in it, down to bathroom faucets, door handles, and furniture and accessories including flatware used in the restaurant and bar.
Arne Jacobsen Flatware is produced in matte stainless steel in the most minimal form, it is well balanced and a pleasure to use. Featured in many movies including the “2001, a Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick (released in 1968), the flatware still seems “futuristic” even now.
