Ultima Thule Cocktail Glass was designed by Finnish artist and designer Tapio Wirkkala (1915 – 1985) in 1968. Tapio Wirkkala, a sculptor by education, referred to nature for inspiration. He initially made the wooden moulds, used for the iconic Ultima Thule Glass Collection, by hammering and burning their interior with hot liquid (molten) glass, creating the desired effect of frost and icicles.

Ultima Thule Cocktail Glass holds 5.4 oz of liquid, perfect for most cocktails, as well as an interesting glass for serving chilled white wine.
