Taraxacum Suspension Lamp, designed by Italian brothers Achille Castiglioni (1918 -2002), and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni (1913 – 1968), 1960, has become an inspiration to today’s designers (See Zeppelin by Marcel Wanders, 2005).
Taraxacum (latin for dandelion) was originally designed for Heisenkeil, later produced by Flos. The lamp form is created by an inner structure of white powder coated steel, which is sprayed with resin finished with a transparent sealer. The lamp is available in 2 sizes: 1 / 26.7" diameter and 2 / 34" diameter.
