The SuperArchimoon Floor lamp, designed by Philippe Starck, 2000, provides both direct and diffused light. The industrial matte silver grey tubular aluminum structure is an interesting contrast to the softer pleated fabric diffusing shade. The amber colored fabric shade is equipped with an acid-etched hand-blown pressed borosilicate glass internal diffuser. All the SuperArchimoon’s joints and supports are made of cast aluminum for stability and durability. The large lamp is supported by a heavy sand-cast aluminum base with a grey painted spun aluminum cover. An ON/OFF switch and 0/100% dimmer is installed on the cord. The SuperArchimoon is a spectacular floor lamp with a reach long enough to illuminate a dining - or conference table in lieu of suspension lighting.
