The Senz Umbrella, originally a design thesis project by Gerwin Hoogendoorn, Gerard Kool, and Philip Hess, is a true innovation in umbrella design! Aerodynamically designed and engineered to withstand strong winds without inverting the umbrella provides superior protection, while giving optimal line of vision due to its asymmetrical design.
The Senz Umbrella is available in 2 sizes: Original and Mini model.
The Original withstands winds up to 70 mph!
The Mini umbrella will withstand winds up to 40 mph! (Note: "regular" umbrellas perform only in winds below 18 mph.)
The canopy is produced with a patented reinforced rib structure, plus an easy to operate, patented handle construction with reverse opening.
The Senz Umbrellas have received the Red Dot Design Award 2007, and a nomination for the German Design Award 2008.
