The May Day Lamp, designed by Konstantin Grcic, 1999 – 2000, is designed as a helpful tool – just as its name suggests: Mayday, Mayday / help, help! In the process a really good sturdy lamp was created. Produced with injection molded polypropylene, it is safe to use both in- and outdoors. The big hook, serving as handle incorporates an on/off switch, and a place for winding the power cord, is available in 3 colors: black, orange and blue. The 16.4 foot long cord makes it possible to hang the May Day from trees, walls, ceilings, in children’s rooms, anywhere you might need illumination. The white funnel diffuser gives a soft light.
