Lastra Suspension Lamp, designed by Antonio Citterio with Oliver Löw, 1998, is a technological feat! The Lastra Lamp is produced with a .6" sheet of clear tempered glass conducting the current to the pressed glass diffusers via a dual silk-screening process: First a deposit of electrical conductive silver paste is laid, followed by a deposit of protective ceramic paint.
The floating Lastra Suspension Lamp is available in 2 sizes. Lastra 6, which has 6 diffusers in a row, is slim and long, measuring 8.7" wide x 66.3" long. Lastra 8, with 8 diffusers measures 19.7 in width and is 47.2" long. The Lastra Lamps are suspended by 4 steel cables secured with polished aluminum ceiling fittings.
