The Lampadina Table Lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni (1918 – 2002), 1972, is produced with an anodized aluminum base in form of a film reel (5" in diameter), which serves to store the excess power cord. The lamp holder is made of black bakelite with a clear globe bulb, partially sandblasted to diffuse the light. The no-nonsense lamp is true to its name Lampadina meaning light bulb in Italian.
