Alfredo Häberli, who comes from a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs, designed his stemware with pieces we essentially use, hence the name Essence. It received the Design Plus Award in 2002. The Essence glasses are a good example of thoughtful design, few glasses that allow us to serve a full range of wines. All stems and bases are exactly the same height and size, creating a visual harmony when glasses stand next to each other on the table.
