The Ara Table Lamp, designed by Philippe Starck, 1988, has an intended amusing form of a devilish horn. The lamp's adjustable head ("horn") is made of die cast Zamak metal alloy, while the tapered lamp stem and base are produced with polished chrome plated steel. The Ara Lamp provides a direct light suitable for the night table, as well as desk and task light.
